Neurodiversity Celebration Week!

Neurodiversity Celebration Week is a worldwide initiative founded by Siena Castellon that challenges stereotypes and misconceptions about neurological differences. It aims to transform the way in which neurodivergent individuals are perceived and supported by providing schools, universities, and organisations. This week provides the opportunity to recognize the many talents and advantages of being neurodivergent, while creating more inclusive and equitable cultures that celebrate differences and empower every individual.

Statistics:

  • 15-20% of the world is neurodiverse

  • Autism rates have tripled in 16 years

  • Employees on the spectrum achieve 28% higher revenue, 2x net income, and 30% higher economic profit margins.

  • Learners with learning and thinking differences are 31% more likely to be bullied than their peers

  • The average individual sees 150 images a second whereas the average dyslexic sees 1500 to 4000 images a second.

  • Most cases of neurodivergences are diagnosed between 3-7 years old
